Spiritually Bold Sundays

What are you trusting God to do for you in 2018?

Hello MI Loves!

Welcome to my new blog—Be Spiritually BOLD!

As we know, today is the last day of 2017 and time and time again we have been guilty of saying “New Year, New Me” or “This is my Year,” but after a week or two, we go back to the same old me in a new year. Too many times we set goals for our lives, but we aren’t willing to put in the work to truly achieve them. On top of that, we think we have the superwoman or superman complex/power and think we can do it by ourselves, yet one thing we fail to realize is that when you put God at the center of what you are trying to do, He will always show up and show out. We have heard it time and time again—whatever your heart desires, God will make a way, as long as it is His will. So why do we only call on Him when we are in dire need—Oh Lord, if you find the money to pay my rent, I’ll start praying more and going to church, He does it, you go to church and pray for a week or two, and then you revert to your old ways. I have been guilty of this far too many times, but it’s time to do better.

So, MI Loves, my challenge to you in honor of the New Year, is to think of at least 8 things you want to Be Spiritually BOLD about in 2018. It can be in any area of your life you choose—personal, spiritual, financial, relationships, careers, the options are endless. Write those things down and place them somewhere you will constantly be reminded. Be as specific as possible in asking what it is you want God to do for you—with your intentional work of course—because we know that we have not because we ask not.

To Do List

Will you fall on your face? Sure you will. But pick yourself up, check your makeup and hair, dust yourself off and take it from there.

MI 8 things to Be Spiritually BOLD about this year:

  1. Launch a blog and be consistent in my posts and social media presence
  2. Spend at least 30 minutes a day with God
  3. Book a speaking or guest panelist gig
  4. Continue to build my marriage
  5. Pay down debt
  6. Create multiple streams of income
  7. Perfect my sewing skills to launch my pillow business
  8. Obtain a new job where I feel valued
  9. Graduate with degree #3 with Honors
  10. Be consistent with healthy eating and exercising (gotta get these abs on Fleek ☺)

May this New Year bring many opportunities your way, to explore every joy of life and turning all your dreams into reality & all your efforts into great achievements.

To all of MI loves, thank you so much for checking in with ME.

  1. While I have a few professional goals (i.e. FINALLY finish my darn doctoral dissertation, take a year off, etc.), probably my biggest goal for 2018 is to continue fortifying a bond with ALL my daughters. I had the opportunity/blessing to see them all together for the first time at the end of this year. I spent more time watching, admiring, observing their mannerisms/interactions than I ever have before. I wrote mental notes about those observations about each one individually and collectively. We tend to think that parenting/fatherhood is over when our kids are adults, but it seems my Daddy Duties are forever. Happy New Year!!!

  2. Congrats Mi’esha very proud of you. Before making plans I ask God, where should I go? Whom should I see,? what should I say and to whom. Use me Lord. My plans are just a guide, many times I find myself going places, doing things I would never think of doing personally but feel called to do. Asking God for continued guidance in 2018

  3. I absolutely love the fact that your blog came when it did. I am currently on a journey that only God can take me on this year and you have always been a motivation for me. Your blog is a awesome reminder of how great God truly is and how nothing can really be successful without Him. Love what you are doing hun! Keep being amazing. I truly see God working in you and it’s beautiful.
